Fast Forward

To all the youths of yesteryear, how many of you have regrets about the way you've spent your teenage years. For some, the spurned chances to score with chicks and for others, the neglecting of certain aspects of your lives, all of which have come back to haunt you.

Yes, in this hustle and bustle city, everything moves in fast foward mode. Where everything is quantified. Where are your As ? Where are your goals ? Where are you placed in the so-called dog race ? Yes. Everyone of you would probably be facing such dilemmas in your life at one point of another ? The question is, what is YOUR response ? Well, some, your's truly included, have taken what your's truly defines as the 'prospective path.' This path would mean that one would always be forward looking and aiming towards the future. Yes, often, we look so far ahead and work towards some unreachable ideal that we just neglect the present.

The question now then is, why are we such forward looking people ? Perhaps, this could be put down to a enigma in which, we could actually be extremely unsatisfied with our current situations in life and the way we choose to deal with it would be to work towards some kind of ideal situation in which everything would be better. Well, this could be deemed now as an 'escapist' approach to life. For the benefit of the tons of students now who have stumbled upon this most exalted of blogs, 'escapist' could be defined as one who runs away from problems. And to all students who deem it fit to try to intepret this article as not doing your work and just living for the moment, you're wrong too, because the focal point of this article is not about enjoying life and living for the moment, but rather, one which asks us to face up to our problems. To take on even the hardest of problems head-on instead of waiting for another respite or even trying to contort your lives to pretend that the problems never existed(escapist theory).

Perhaps your's truly's nomadic existence serves to point out one problem. Often, his majesty is prone to making it seem as if everything else around is inferior or insignificant. Maybe, just maybe, the problem may lie him. It might be that the percieved bravado and courage taken to transplant his most royal self to another place, could actually be cowardice in being unable to face up to inherant root problems in his life.

To all you fans out there, his majesty has only one question for you, ARE YOU FACING UP TO THE PROBLEM PRESENTLY IN YOUR LIFE ?
